The early issues of ZOOT COMICS were devoted to humor - funny animals and even funnier people. It was cutting-edge comedy, and the humor more than holds its own today. Then, beginning with issue #7, RULAH: JUNGLE GODDESS burst onto the scene, and quickly took over the magazine. ZOOT COMICS turned from funny to jungle adventure, and ultimately was retitled RULAH: JUNGLE GODDESS. The stories of Rulah were some of the most controversial of the day, exciting young readers and worrying parents.Due to a numbering error, ZOOT COMICS actually had two #13 issues and ended with #16. We've eliminated the original confusion and numbered our reprints sequentially, ending with #17.
