This book has a permanent place on my bookshelf. I can see why New York enthusiasts swear by this guidebook. The book is arranged alphabetically, but diners can also locate restaurants divided by location, type of food, top ratings, most popular as well as by any special features. It also features the restaurants with the best New York Times reviews. Are you planning a trip to the Big Apple? I highly recommend this book for a fabulous meal in New York.

New York is one of the worlds great cities for dining, and the Zagat guide is an invaluable tool for navagating the city's best restaurants, some 2000 of them. What makes Zagat so accurate is the large number of voters (some 30,000) that participate in the New York survey each year. The ratings for the top restaurants are precise and reliable. It's also a great tool to fine neighboorhood spots where you can have a great meal with reasonable costs. The Zagat guide offers a level of reliability that can't be matched by any critic or system, the New York Times and Michelin included. If you want to search out the best food, Zagat is for you.
