Beautiful tension

Today's read: You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Nigerian author, Akwaeke Emezi A romance "Those were moments that broke timelines, that cut them so deep and so bloody that they would never stitch back together again, that the life before the cut was as dead as the person who was lost." This book is a gorgeous, sensual journey, a messy romance, a tale of desire, grief, hunger, trauma, loss, recovery, and being alive, being wholy and unapologetically oneself. It is full of the kind of tension that keeps you wondering if everything really will be okay, hoping everything will be, but waiting, waiting, waiting for the bad thing to happen (and, no, I'm not telling you if it does).
