I would definitely call this a novella. It is short enough to give you a quick fix when you want to read a sweet story. It is about restoration in life and relationships.
Enjoyable read

This a great, quick read. Perfect to snuggle up with on a rainy day. Be careful reading other reviews as they give away the majority of the story. Even the editorial review says too much. I'm glad I picked it up. It is clean and not too mushy. You can picture the characters and the setting. I'd love for the story to continue with a sequel!
wonderfully written

I absolutely loved this book, so much so that I'm keeping it on my bookshelf. I find that a lot of Christian writing is cheesy, formulaic, predictable and poorly written. But this is a good romance novel! A little too short but its sentimental and warm without being corny. The characters are a bit elderly but their ones that you grow to love even if your a college student in your twenties. I'd reccomend it to anyone.

I enjoyed this book. It had a sweet message. I thought the plot was realistic. Because I enjoyed this book, I then read Mr. Maki other book: A Choice to Cherish. This book was also good.
WRITTEN ON HER HEART is also written on my heart

This story of a long-lost love is a winner! I loved the poetry, as well as the plot. Also, using a summer wildfire as a backdrop, as it threatens the lead character's home while she tries to restore her life, adds to the suspense. I learned a lot about firefighters and how they battle out-of-control fires.I thoroughly enjoyed this hardcover novel, as it is a beautiful book with a beautiful package. Even my husband, who doesn't read much, picked it up and loved it. 160 pages was a number he could handle! The author, Alan Maki, also wrote A CHOICE TO CHERISH, which is absolutely great. He has hit two homeruns with these two novels!
