Working Out with the Word of God: "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." 1 Timothy 4:8
Why is it that many Christians do not know the content of the Bible. Some claim not to understand the Bible, even though much of it was written to those we would regard as "primitive people." Perhaps the problem is they don't where to begin or how to pursue personal Bible study. The primary purpose of Bible study is to get to know Jesus better, to believe in Him and claim His many promises. Studying the Bible must be intentional and directed. In this little volume, I compare studying the Bible with engaging in physical exercise with the express purpose of losing weight or gaining strength. We enter into the study of the Bible with the same discipline. Hopefully, after reading this, you will be encouraged to dig into the Word of God with a directed intention, methodology and purpose.
