As a health/fitness professional I've been experimenting with books and recipes for myself and my clients for almost 20 years. Wonderfoods is the ONE! The recipes are simple and fabulous! Everything can be found in the grocery store, no special tools are needed and many of these go together in 15-minutes time. There's a quote/review on the back of the book that reads something like this: "Finally a book about what to eat instead of what not to eat. How refreshing." And refreshing it is. Thank you Wonderfoods!
Not just a book of recipes, but an education

First, if you are thinking this is just a cookbook, it's not. What it is is an education on the benefits of natural foods with a couple examples of recipes in which they can be used. The book itself is actually small, but thick. It is categorized by benefit (detox, energy, skin, digestion, etc...) and includes all wonderfoods that contribute to each benefit. Savona writes well and offers insight on the variations of particular wonderfoods, the best way to eat them (for maximum benefit), and describes all the goodness of each. Really, she makes you WANT to eat all the wonderfoods she includes in the book. Even if you never prepare any of her recipes (though I doubt you wouldn't), the book itself is a great read and reference.
