This text is a good book for an undergraduate course like women in politics or gender in politics. It provides a sound survey of Canadian case studies. Some sections refer to gender/women in the US, as well. I found that the sections on Third Wave feminism, pornography, and prostitution were too quick and easy of assessments. Overall, it's a great text, but expensive to use in the Canadian university classroom if you have another textbook. I actually ended up using sections of the book for my class.
