This book has a lot of text about Gloria's artistic ideas, but for the real ideas presented in this book, one has to dig deeper. By the time this book was written, Gloria Vanderbilt had overcome her difficult childhood, and has become a very strong woman of great substance. Here is a woman truely in touch with her soul, and who knows who she is. She emphasizes throughout the book that the root of all growth, beauty and wisdom comes from within, and true change can only come from one's thinking. Gloria Vanderbilt is an inspiration to me, and an example of the very best that a woman, a human being really, can aspire to be.
