Revised and completely updated for the 2008 National Electric Code, this small manual continues its 75-year history of demonstrating how to install safe, convenient, and economical wiring. Encouraging... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This paperback book is full of great information, reference to national electrical codes, and can be used for many remodel and repair projects. I will be using it in building a log home in North Carolina. The book is set up in a progressive chapter by chapter format and one can go to a specific electrical area of interest. This is a great book for a non-electrician homeowner.
Good starter for wiring

Compact and simple, but also complete, this is a great guide. It doesn't have tons of pretty illustrations, or any full-color photos, but it has useful, descriptive diagrams, it's concise, and its thoroughness is very pleasing. Highly recommended.

Great book

Much better than the very basic do-it-yourself guides. (Though they do have their place.) This book is a boil-down of the NEC (the electric code). It will serve you well whether you are planning a big project or just want to learn. Price is right too.
