Joey's family has seven sons of whom he is the youngest and three daughters. While in the meadow tending the sheep, most time is spent watching over the sheep and protecting them from predators and dangers. He sleeps under the stars, sitting up to be quick to respond to dangers, and while the days all flow together as he shepherds his flock, he experiences some unusual events, has encounters with the unseen world learns quickly how to work with and trust the Ruach of Yah.
