The author believes that we are to blame for putting our world on fast forward and that there are practical steps to balancing our lives. He is right. This is an immensely practical book which has had a huge impact on the way I view success. Fabulous stuff!
Life-changing and Liberating!

With his 6 secrets to slowing down, Phil Callaway has literally reorganized my priority list. His section called "living at the speed of grace" is worth the price of admission. "Doing all that we do out of thanksgiving for all that Christ has done," Callaway says, "helps us cease all the sprinting and start walking with God as He has asked us to do throughout Scripture." A liberating book.
This book gave me my health back

I'd just been to a doctor who diagnosed me with--in layman's terms--extreme burnout. He said, "You'd better slow down or your body will force you to. During a trip to the grocery store I added this book to my cart and I couldn't be more happy. God has used it in my life like I never thought a book could be used. I've underlined so many sentences that I used up one highlighter and I still wasn't nearing the conclusion. Spending a few days in Phil Callaway's company was the perfect medicine. This book made me laugh and a page later I was crying and best of all it has helped me put my fast forward life on pause long enough to center and balance things. I know what my busy friends will have under their Christmas tree already this year!

Pushing stop and play in a fast-forward world

Are peace, simplicity and joy available on a planet that spins 1000 miles an hour? Apparently so. That's what this best-selling author claims. And boy does he make a good case for it! I wasn't prepared for how funny this author is, nor was I prepared for how serious this message is. Callaway sites the stories of millionaires, billionaires, and regular folk like you and me who are "so tired we can barely lace up our Velcro sneakers," and shows what we are missing by running so fast. The cartoons by Mary Chambers are absolutely hilarious and the stories are perceptive, witty, and endearing. With lines like "even ants have time to attend picnics," and advice on "how to live so the preacher doesn't have to lie at your funeral, this is the ideal gift for anyone who is stuck in an unending loop of busyness and fatigue. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
