Like anything by this amazing woman, it touched my heart and made my mind think deeply on the things she wrote about. I love her poetry and the way her mind saw the natural things around her. I would also recommend toward Jerusalem.

Whispers of His Power

The devotional from Amy Carmichael, Whispers of His Power, is a favorite of mine. Its not long but speaks to my heart in love. The words are gentle and cause me to make changes in my life. Therefore I have power to love as in I Cor 13. I recommend this to someone whose been burned out, hurt and loves God a real lot.

This book is a lovely compilation of Amy Carmichael's thoughts, letters, hyms and prayers set in a daily devotional format. Her faith in God and her love for Him shine through the pages. This would be a wonderful gift for a young lady or young man. Her love and worship transcend time, age and race.
