Where is my right shoe/ You say one thing and I hear another!

Good Evening (imitating Alfred Hitchcock.) Thank you once again for entering into another one of my Imperfect Masterpieces zone. This time around I have been blessed and fortunate to do this project with the one and only and she's also my Author-Wife Ms. Cynthia Powell. So, let's you up to speed regarding how we got to this point and here we go. A few years ago, me and Ex- Galfriend were scheduled to attend a wedding together, but we broke up before the event happened. So one day I ask her did the couple ever tie the knot? And she informed me " yes they did and the wedding was really nice." Then she just out of the blue blurred out, "and going with out you was like going without my right shoe " We laughed a bit then I said, Where the hell is my right shoe?" I played around with it for a while (because I saw a book somewhere in there) until I came up with "Where is my right shoe?"
