Where Have All of the Soldiers Gone - is the search for burial sites of black Camp William Penn Civil War soldiers buried in cemeteries across the United States. Camp William Penn was a training camp for black Civil War soldiers near Philadelphia. 11,000 soldiers were trained there. It was the largest training camp of its kind at the time in the country. The book contains a list of about 530 cemeteries where these soldiers lay. The purpose is to create an interest to search for more of these sites to increase the history of this painful struggle.
