Camp William Penn was a training camp for black Civil War soldiers near Philadelphia. 11,000 soldiers were trained there. It was the largest training camp of its kind at the time in the country. The book contains a list of about 530 cemeteries where these soldiers lay. The purpose is to create an interest to search for more of these sites to increase the history of this painful struggle.
