Quick access to the best advice for golfers of all levels. This richly illustrated handbook is a godsend to anyone who wants to improve his (or her) game--beginners, weekend duffers, and country club regulars alike. Its snappy entries are written by the world's most renowned experts--great touring pros, golf instructors, and the respected writers of Golf Digest . Put it all together with helpful photos and step-by-step instructions and golfers get a treasure trove of guidance to navigate the game and lower their score. Whether golfers are trying to rid themselves of a wicked slice, have trouble getting out of sand traps or can't shake the yips as they're trying to putt out, here's the wisest advice available. The book also contains concise explanations of the rules of the game and tips on etiquette--including how to play a round with the boss. What's a Golfer to Do? is packaged in a compact format, so it can be tucked into a golf bag. It is also filled with useful pointers, why-didn't-I-think-of-that tips, and a great dose of golf humor.
This is a fun book to look through. We have it on our living room table and family and friends attract to its colorful appearance and layout. Informative, yet easy to thumb through. Define a problem, find a potential solution... it's as easy as that. I recommend this book for others to read.
A useful descriptive collection

Measuring 20 x 15 cm, this book does not lend itself to a pictorial capture of tips and tricks but its collection of 343 tips and tricks is more of a descriptive nature, with minimal illustrations and if any, averaging only 6 x 4 cm. If you had have played the game long enough or have read a sufficient amount of golf instruction books, this book may serve as another handy refresher. If you rely or prefer visual capture/memory of a shot in action, this book may not provide the important visual stimuli. I have a copy of the 'how to hit every shot' by Golf Magazine and it provides both the descriptive text and plenty of photos/illustrations. Given that this 'what's a golfer to do' book is a latest release, I'm rather surprised that Golf Digest has opted to take a different tact. As a keen golfer who wants to be reminded and prompted every so often, I nevertheless find this book informative and useful.
