This book is perfect for someone who wants to make sure they are eating the correct vitamins and minerals. It lists the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids essential for making proteins. It lists which foods you can find these in, and what the specified vitamin/mineral does for the body. It is a very good reference book and I highly recommend it, especially for the beginner or for someone who has been wanting to eat a more healthy, complete diet, and they just don't know where to start. Although it does not include everything, it is a book that I will always turn to for a quick and easy reference. I think that everyone who is interested in improving the quality of their diet should consider gettig this book. It is laid out very straight forward, very well organized, very informative. Five Stars.

I subscribe to 3 naturopathic papers plus Consumer Reports 'On Health' for balance. This book does a very thorough job of pulling it all together in an easily read guide. I bought it to get a concise guideline for how much of each nutrient is needed for what purpose. It gives that along with precautions. Money well-spent.
