For a taste of sheer, sensual bliss, the adventurous women in these sizzling stories are willing to do anything, risk everything, and break all the rules. . . "Checkmate" Courtesan Cora Durand longs to find a man to satisfy her own hidden desires. Rupert Roland has dreamed of having beautiful, defiant Elsa at his carnal mercy, and when each gets their wish, the outcome is pure ecstasy. . . "Lust's Vow" Hannah Rosworth's late husband claimed that she was too sexually inexperienced for his tastes. But Kenneth Walker, an infamous rake, can see the fire beneath her sedate exterior. And at the season's most decadent orgy he'll show her how to give--and receive--the ultimate pleasure. . . "Night of the Taking" At the Festival of Catus in a small English village, local virgins take part in a mysterious, erotic ritual. Jessica can hardly believe she's been chosen, but the irresistible green-eyed male who claims her will use any wickedly seductive means to prove that she is his mate--and his queen. . .
I loved Lust's Vow and Checkmate, but The Taking was a big miss with me. I would buy the book just for the first two stories. Lucy Danes does know how to write a really good erotic story, and give you a story with substance and erotica, not just throw sex scenes at you.
A sinful romp through history!

Lacy Danes gives us a naughty look into the past, where women dare to be tamed by the men of their dreams. Ms. Danes seamlessly weaves in all manner of wicked delights, such as menage and bdsm, to enhance her story. And unlike many similar books in this genre, there IS a wonderful story. With courtesans and orgies, a hero who's more than human, and ladies who shed their inhibitions. The best part about What She Craves is the intense historical FEEL of the story. Ms. Danes nails her time period and her character's genuine need to find a place--and person--where they belong. A personal favorite was Hannah from Lust's Vow. A delightfully wicked tale. Highly recommended!

In a market flooded with erotic romance meant to titillate sometimes the story can get lost. Not with Ms. Danes What She Craves! Three unique, well-written, imaginative works will leave you craving more! My favorite was Night of the Taken. Ms. Dane weaves a tight tale allows the reader to live the story along with her well thought out and complex characters! I'm definitely a fan!
three torrid Regency romances

"Lust's Vow". In 1815 England, Hannah Rosworth's late husband insisted she was to sexually inexperienced so the widow attends an orgy to see what he meant. There she meets rakish Kenneth Walker, who sees the passion that he plans to release in her. "Checkmate". By 1818, Cora Durand is tired of being London's most popular courtesan caring for the tastes of her customers, but not her own. She thinks she has found the lover to satisfy her craving, but Rupert Roland has his own carnal fantasy. "Night of the Taking". At the Full Moon Festival of Catus on the Isle of Skyas, selected virgins participate in an erotic ritual. In the 1802 gala, Jessica is a chosen one by the green-eyed hunk, who believes she is his goddess of love. These three torrid Regency romances are exciting tales that readers will enjoy, but this is not mom's historical as bondage, orgies, and ménage de trois are intimately interwoven parts of the novellas.
