There are lots of excuses for being a grump, and this book is full of em. But in this book, the things that make you grumpy can actually be funny. So be careful, or you'll end up laughing at your own grumpiness. And, as you'll soon find out, it's hard to be giggly and grumpy at the same time.
I just love this book. I put it away so I can forget the laughs and then be surprised again. One is never to old to laugh! I worked with Tom at a prestigious advertising agency and had always loved his illustrations but they were usually done in a serious manner. His visual humor knocks my socks off! This is truly his niche. I have to order extra copies of his books for my grandnephew as I'm keeping mine.
Never gets old!

I used to have my grandma read this book to me every time I visited her when I was younger and now that I'm older I still love it! My favorite page is the one where the adults are talking because I can still relate as a teenager. š

This is a hilarious book about being grumpy! As a mom of a kid that gets grumpy/frustrated often, I had to get this book, and it exceeded my expectations. The illustrations are vivid and engaging, exciting and hilarious. Iād recommend this book for anyone, even adults!
Incredible book for my talking about social cues and situations

This book is great for my son who has a tendancy to take things quite literally and too seriously. In moments of frustration he loses it! He has trouble reading social cues and it's great how this book talks about feelings and situations that we all have. It opens doors to conversations about real situations that irritate him. While he's calm and laughing we can talk about them and he can see the situation and understand his feelings.
Book we should ALL read

This is a nice well-written and well-illustrated children's book that ends with a smile and is a delight to read aloud. Highly recommended.

This book has a great story about not feeling grumpy about stupid stuff, and laughing at one's troubles. It is a great way of getting a kid to stop moping about, feeling sorry for themself. I would recomend this book as a way of making kids feel good about being happy. And the pictures are a stich!
