Best-selling suspense novelist Brandilyn Collins continues her string of compelling faith fiction with Web of Lies, a harrowing forensic thriller that pinpoints the collision between fear and faith. Annie Kingston, a forensic artist, teams up with Chelsea Adams, a woman who receives terrifying visions from God -- as the two find themselves trying to rescue two kidnapped people before they are murdered by a psychotic killer with a spider obsession. Web of Lies deals frankly with the struggles of a Christian in professional life -- especially when that professional life includes murderous lunatics, arrogant lawmen and irresponsible journalists. Brandilyn Collins once again proves herself a master of the page-turner. Just make sure your doors are locked and you've said your prayers for the night -- because once you open to the first page, you are in for the ride of your life.
What Lies Ahead?

Brandilyn Collins is a sure thing. Pick up one of her books and you know you're in for a suspenseful read. Once again, in "Web of Lies," Collins gives us believable characters and frightening scenarios. She masterfully weaves together the main characters from two separate series, giving them individual voices and motivations. Joining forces, using their spiritual and physical skills/gifts, they take on the chilling mystery behind an uncovered skull and a vindictive killing. Personally, I think "Dead of Night" is still my favorite in the Hidden Faces series, but this newest installment is right up there. It rushes a bit, trying to tie all the loose ends and the concerns of the two main characters, but it does so with skill. In the Christian market, we now have some fantastic female suspense writers in Collins, Kathryn Mackel, and Melanie Wells. I can't see what else lies ahead.

When Chelsea and Annie meet, they take us on a journey of a lifetime. From spiders to skulls and skeletons, Web of Lies has it all. Collins takes her reader on a roller coaster of emotion as Annie and Chelsea team up to find a killer, and in the process find themselves on a road that endangers not only them, but Annie's precious Kelly. Who is friend? Who is foe? You won't know until the end then it's "Wow! How did she do that?" This is a must read for those who like spine-tingling suspense that pulls you into the middle of the terror. Not for the faint-hearted.

DON'T READ TOO FAST!

Eight legged creepy crawlies. A homicidal maniac who watches your every move. Sound like fun? In Brandilyn Collins's, Web of Lies, the reader is taken on a ride of high velocity in page after page of suspense. Two of Brandilyn's prior heroines are brought together in a horrifying murder. One of them sees a murder in a vision, while the other sees a murder life-startling and face-to-face. Are these murders related, or is this just a means of bringing these two women together? When the murderer hits close to home, these two women must rely on the power of prayer, and each other. I found myself having too slow down while reading this book. The action happens so quickly, that I often read too fast to see what would happen next. I recommend you take a chunk of time, your favorite chair and a stout heart. This book is a must read.
