The best anthology of any kind I have read to date. - Grasping for the Wind. A great collection that gets my highest recommendation.- Bookgasm
First: this is a BIG FAT book. Having said that, you would expect a certain percentage of short stories to be just average. You would be wrong. Every story deals with the aftermath of the "end" of the world. And the apocalypses are as varied as the stars above. Some are what you'd expect: viral, atomic, aliens, etc. etc. Each story handles these events with crisp, new variations. Not a zombie to be seen!! The editor of this volume should seriously win awards for the selections in this book. I have started to slow down my reading speed in order to savor each story more fully. Some of the stories leave the reader with a "well, maybe we will start again" to "well, we certainly screwed that up." I cannot recommend this book enough!!!
Just as awesome as the first installment

Once again, I was amazed. Truly a cornucopia of creative talents with wildly varying stories about an apocalyptic world. I loved every minute of it.
