Quick and Easy Translating

When I first met my now husband in 2006, we could not communicate very easily. He, being a Guatemalan native, could only speak Spanish. I being born and reared in the USA, only spoke English. I purchased a Vox Super-Mini Spanish and English Dictionary for each of us and away we went! When stumped by the translation of an English word, I grabbed my trusty little dictionary. He did the same on Spanish words. Now they are both well-worn, but were truly instrumental in our early communication. I suggest this for those learning either language.
