Great product, No VR6 engine diagrams!

This is a very handy book if youre looking for wiring, body or other diagrams. The 2.0 and 1.8 motors are even included and it's all very straight forward. I was dissapointed to find out that the VR6 motor is not covered in this book, however I shouldve read the cover before buying

Chilton 1999-2002 Jetta Manual

This is a Chilton's manual for the 1999-2002 Jetta. The manual is a must for any one who can turn his own wrench to save +$70 per hour for minor repairs. The pictures are in black and white, and the book itself could have slightly more detail and cover more topics. This book is a worthwhile investment however if you're able to use a wrench or socket set. It'll pay for itself and then some after one repair or preventative maintenance. This book contains engine overhaul procedures, and a wiring diagram. Why don't you own one for all of your vehicles?

Good overall book for the weekend tinker. I would not try and change out an engine or transmission using the book but it is good for window wiper motors, brakes, various filters, etc. It also includes recommendations on a diagnostic tool to help with repairs.

What to say...

The book is very in depth for the amount of topics it covers. I have not actually used this book to repair anything yet so this review may not be as helpful as it could. The formatting and diagrams seem to be very easy to follow. For the price I would say you cannot go wrong.

Handy VW manual!

I've owned several different types of car manuals over the years, and although this is not the most technical, it has very useful information. I would say it is a MUST for anybody doing simple mechanic work like brake pads, fluid changes, etc. It even helps with more complex tasks like clutch plates and suspension work. For the price, I would definitely recommend it. Easy to read with LOTS of pictures.
