Voices in the Wind is first book published by Stay Woke Poetry. An organization whose goal is to help spread the stories and voices of students from across the nation. This book encases the stories of students from Mustang,Oklahoma and Saint Paul,Minnesota. Two very different places not only in geography but also in culture. What we found however was that the lives of these students had more in common than most would assume. These poems were gather through Stay Woke Poetry workshops which took place over the winter of 2018. Be prepared as the stories encased inside these pages are heartbreaking and beautiful. There is much pain in this world but these brave students have lent their voices to shine light on it and to also shed some hope that this pain won't always have to be there.
