Folded accordion-style, the entwining illustrations in this book depict the constant struggle between the seven virtues and seven vices. The artists' illustrations are encased in a hardcover binding mimicking a children's book, but the graphic images inside are anything but innocent. The images have been created through a collaborative process that originally began as a game of snakes and ladders. Cecily Moon drew the virtues; Sandra Meigs drew the vices. They then took turns entwining the personified images in combat, transforming the parts into a striking look at classic moral themes.
