Book 3 of The Healing Touch. The town of Dogwood Springs has been deluged by spring storms. As tornadoes and torrential floods rage, Archer and Jessica Pierce struggle with doubts about their local church ministry. In the midst of the havoc, Archer disappears, and the town begins a frantic search against time and the elements. Dr. Grant Sheldon struggles to handle all the crises in the ER, where the hectic pace makes it difficult to focus on the future of his relationship with nurse Lauren McCaffrey. Combining a fast-paced writing style with a detailed portrayal of emergency medicine, this is an authentic, gripping novel for Christian fiction readers.

After years in pastoral ministry, Archer Pierce has begun to question his calling. Then, in the midst of a violent storm, he disappears, and the citizens of Dogwood Springs begin a frantic race against time and the elements to find him. Lauren McCaffery is falling deeply in love with the widowed Dr. Grant Sheldon. But when he pops the question, she panics. Is she prepared to take on a ready-made family? And she wonders if she can ever live up to the image of "perfect wife and mother" that Grant's late wife seemed to portray. Dr. Mitchell Caine's personal struggles are affecting his practice and his work in the ER, and now he is experiencing glimmers of a memory that is too horrifying to believe--if it's true. To make matters worse, his troubled daughter has returned home after years of estrangement. Can Mitchell hope to help her when he has his own dark secrets? This is book 3 in "The Healing Touch" series

Oh, I just love the fiction of Hannah Alexander, a husband-wife writing team. Urgent Care is the 3rd book in the second medical "ER" style series. And I thought it was the best one! I had a hard time putting it down. I love the characters of this series, and even the "bad guy" Mitchell Caine is someone who is not beyond the reach of the grace of our mighty God! If you like ER, you'll love these books! The authors make sure that the medical details are accurate, and the way the Christian faith is woven through the story is just wonderful! Is there going to be a 4th book in this series?! What's next from Hannah Alexander? I just noticed that they have a new book with a different publisher called "The Crystal Cavern" - that sounds good too!If you read all of Hannah Alexander's books, you might want to try books by Harry Lee Kraus MD. I highly recommend "Could I Have This Dance?".
