Commander Kahkay finally has his old crew from the A.S.S. Thrifty back together on Eastwood Station. Well, most of them anyway. They may not all work for him anymore, and they've all been through some stuff. But they're in the same place, and that's all that matters.

Especially because their universe is only getting more chaotic. Kahkay's role as the Blessed One of the Surreptish people is unclear. M- is unhappy to be so near to his home world. Jamieson has to stop his evil wife. Foley is still dealing with the death of his spouse. Neu ponders her future. And Tokaladie... well, she's become the glue to keep this family together, if anyone can do it. Oh, and Anders is there, too.

Meanwhile, the A.S.S. war with the C'mons still rages, and the evil Echo Dimension is only a wormhole away from an all-out invasion, led by an old foe bent on revenge against the fleet. Can the crew survive?
