Nicky Taylor is a driven executive. A total control freak. And magician Jimmy Ray has loved her forever. When he spots her in the audience, he realizes he finally has a chance to fulfill his own lifelong fantasy. With a little help from Dr. Mesmer, that is... Who'd have guessed that a little hypnotism would unleash Nicky's wildly sexual nature? Or that Jimmy's powers of persuasion would encourage her to burn up the bedsheets with him that night...and the nights after. She's the perfect woman. Unfortunately Jimmy's pretty sure Nicky's still under his spell. And he has to change that. Because he's quickly falling under hers...
Wow! I loved the book and would love for my husband to read it.
Smokin' hot

Jimmy Ray was the nerd in high school. He never spoke up for what he wanted, he never got the girl. Now Jimmy or Jim, as he prefers to call himself, is all grown up. Tech geek turned millionaire turned all-round hottie. But he still doesn't have the girl. Not until Nicky Taylor, the gal he's had a crush on since high school, walks into his stage show. Nicky is overwrought and overworked. She needs a vacation and a break. Basically she needs to chill, but with hundreds of jobs on the chopping block at her firm, she's taken all the responsibility onto herself and can't let go of the office, the cell phone, or of her own deep-seated self-doubt, despite her outward success. Maybe it's because this book has so much of what I love that it rings true to me. Sure Jimmy seems too good to be true on the surface -- hot body, sharp mind, millionaire AND he's a hypnotist! But Kathy Lyons makes him so vulnerable and real. He's the insecure boy who was every girl's friend in high school, but when it came to prom, he stayed home without a date. Nicky is the woman who seems to have it all, but it's at the cost of her family and her personal life. She's as scared and vulnerable as anyone else, without being weak and simpering. The hypnotism is grounded in Nicky's fears and need to let go. It's not just there as a device and the author has taken pains to be realistic about what hypnotism can and can't do. Which is super-wonderful because it also happens to lead to some really smokin' hot love scenes. Like really, really hot. Did I say hot? At first I was a little puzzled as a fan that Jade Lee was writing under a new pen name as Kathy Lyons. But after reading this book, I think there's definitely a place on my shelf for both.
