Proud nephew of the author

While the book reflects the Calvinistic Theology of my Uncle's upbringing and the title is the Eisenhower response to "Godless Communism" (i.e., a product of its time), Uncle Bill presents a straight forward text on how our government actually is supposed to work. Curiously, the last publishing date is 1999, a year before Bill Bennett, as secretary of education to Ronald Reagan, proceded to rip civics from our educational system and deminish the teaching of history. Sadly, Uncle Bill died before he had a chance to teach civics on TV. More sadly, a whole generation who never learned civics are now learning a politically perverted version of it from Glen Beck. People need to get this book to learn the basics and get it right. --LK
