This book is the story of a small family crew that sailed their yacht, Trifon from the South of France across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans to the island of Tahiti. The crew expericienced both adventures and misadventures at sea. It took many years of preparation and training to the acquire the skills necessary for such a voyage. The book is an account of how they progressed from the vague notion of ocean sailing to realising their dream. The two female crew members, Mireille and Magali share their thoughts during the ocean crossings. The skipper has provided a nautical roadmap to help anybody with the same dream to progress from a coastal sailor to an ocean sailor.
