My 3.5 year old niece loves to help me read this!

Instant hit!

Checked this book out at the library for my 11 month old and it was an instant hit. The story is short and sweet, making this a perfect anytime or bedtime read. The book has a nice rhythm and reading it with added high-pitched "toot toot"s and "scoot scoot"s makes it quite engaging. Plus, my little one enjoys identifying the rubber ducks, birds, boats, etc on every page. She begs to read this over and over again... book goes back to library tomorrow, but we be picking up our very own copy. I have Chugga Chugga Choo Choo, but my baby girl doesn't seem as interested in that yet...

My son absolutely LOVES this book. The rhythmic story, the bright and engaging pictures - all capture his attention... and he's 15 months old. My older son (2 1/2) also loves listening to this story. Both love boats; both love this book! I love the twist at the end!

My one year old son's favorite, by far!

We lOVE this book! We haven't read the other Lewis/Kirk books, so don't have them to compare, but on its own this book has been an all time favorite in our house! Tugga tugga tug boat, push and pull and float boat...I think I have all of the words memorized! The words are simple and very appropriate for toddlers. I just wish it came in board book form so I could let my one year old look at the book without my close supervision. So, if some say this book isn't nearly as good as the other Lewis/Kirk books, then we look forward to reading those as well!

Great book!

My son loves this book and the illustrations are great for beginner readers to help them with the story line. He loves pointing out all the things he recognizes in the pictures. He is almost 3 and has just started reading small words in books, so this book is great for him.
