This book tells the stories of women during various times of trial in our country. Mainly WWII. {Did you know that not only did women train men on how to FLY during WWII? They also flew many, many supply missions?} Some died in the line of duty. None were honored with the medals due them. Most are "First Person" accounts. Others are "As told to the author by a family member" There is NO fiction here. As a matter of fact, if you read "Reminisce" magazine this book is published by the same company. {Reiman Publications} It's a hard to find book, but well worth the search. As a matter of fact. They have MANY books that are "Reader written" with stories about how life was "REALLY" lived from the early 1900's to the 1960's. I have yet to read an uninteresting book by this publisher. As a matter of fact, these books should be used as textbooks.
