Very good for starting a puppy

This book will give you all the basic skills you need for obedience, and starting you gun dog. It does have a lot of info about later training as well. Ignore the review about not being able to train a dog at 1 year on page 26. He is taking it out of context. The actual quote from the book is as follows: "I can't guarantee that good preschool work will make your dog a top dog, but I can guarantee the puppy will be untrainable if you bring it home, put it in the kennel, give it no name, pay no attention to it, and a year or so later try to train it". This is a great book for anyone that has decided to train their own gun dog!
