bouncy!

Both my kids (aged 4 & 2) love this. It's a very charming rhyming story and quite exciting as the baby crawls off into a wood in search of his beloved ball. My oldest boy's first word relly was 'ball', just like the baby in the atory, so it's perfect for him, but I'm sure there are many others for whom a ball is their favourite toy and they will all enjoy it. Gorgeous pictures too.

This book really appeals to my 20-month old. The text is very rhthymic -- as bouncy as the ball being described. My daughter enjoys taking the ball (a large disk attached to the book by a ribbon) and tucking it into the pockets on each page. One problem is the ribbon attaches at the TOP of the large book, further than toddler arms can reach. So you have to pry the child's fingers off the ball to be able to turn the page. Still, she really enjoys the book, and it is fun for the reader, too.
