"You like to sin, Kate?" When Boston interior designer Kate Markham meets real estate mogul Owen Glendower at a dinner party, sparks fly. Not only is Owen GQ-cover, drop-dead sexy and filthy rich, he has a maddeningly seductive way of knowing intimate details about her. Details that send heat rushing to her cheeks not to mention certain other parts of her body. Swept deliciously off her feet, Kate lets herself fall into a breathtakingly sensual journey she hopes will never end, even when Owen reveals his little secret: he happens to be Hades, ruler of the underworld and the devil himself Caught in the fiery-sweet grip of a desire so consuming, Kate must choose between her business, her family, her life on Earth, and spending eternity in Hell with Owen. Then, out of the blue, family tragedy strikes, shaking her out of a rapturous trance to face the decision of a lifetime. Will she spend eternity with this devil of her dreams or follow her conscience back to earthly reality?Sherri Browning Erwin is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA). I'll have to differ from some of the other reviewers here to say that I, for one, loved the very thing that they didn't. For me, Owen's (Hades) gift to Kate was incredibly romantic even if the ending was bittersweet. And there IS a HAE to come - even if it's after Kate's mortal life is over. Seriously, did those other reviewers really think there could be a perfect love between a mortal and a god here on earth?
Witty and fun! A love story for readers with brains

At last! This one made me laugh, made me cry, and even made me think about much bigger issues, like good and evil, and death and afterlife. Didn't expect that in a romance! And make no mistake, this is a lovely romance. Kate is intelligent and sympathetic, and so funny; I loved her snide comments. And Owen - sigh - is to die for. Or at least consider dying for. Imagine an eternity with this guy! The ending, while bittersweet, was the only one that made sense and, best of all, left the door open for more time with Kate, who is such a fantastic heroine. I'm so glad I found this one and can't wait to see what Erwin does next.

I found this novel told an intriguing tale with such wit that it had me laughing out loud at points. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Great twist on Greek mythology!

What a creative twist on Greek mythology! I loved Kate and Owen together. Its not a romance in the traditional sense, but a sharp, contemporary take on love. The author's wit is superbly clever. I was laughing in the first pages at Hades assistant, Lord Byron. Of course--where else would the consummate rogue have landed? This book is a great read. If you are looking for a traditional romance, this may not be for you. But it you want a hip, modern romance with a twist, I highly recommend this book!
Edgy chick lit meets paranormal romance

The devil pops in to Boston, Armani-clad and ready to win hearts. Only he prefers to think of himself as Hades, and he sets his sights on one heart in particular, Kate Markham's. Kate had me at scaring her kid sister with Night of the Dead: Barbie's Return. Hysterical! My emotions ran the gamut. I laughed. I cried. I could not put it down. The ending was both moving and satisfying. I've added a new author to my automatic buy list.
