These trilogy of books that I read crafted a story that I thought would be childlike in its pattern, or at least predictable. It was as if the author used an advanced physics idea, and instead of a linear path gave many options. You will have to read it to understand. I will ruin it if I go any further. This was an excellent sci-fi genre book. Well thought out. If you are a fan of the series and are looking forward to the new movie, this is a must. It will definitely fill you in on the new movie. Times of Trouble is at least as good as the two earlier Blackford books. Just like in the first two, the characters are great (and Jade, the superhuman girl from the future, is very cool), and there's lots of fast action, but it's also very realistic - not like the T3 movie. There's all sorts of time- and space-travel across diferent time-lines, with John and his friends attacking the Skynets, and the Skynets have a heap of mean new tricks. The time-travel stuff is complicated, but interesting, and it's explained well.
