Not comprehensive but excellent reference

While it isn't comprehensive, this book makes a good stab at pulling together timelines for specific areas, including journalism and religion/spirituality. There are also quotes or other fun facts in the sidebars. This will be helpful for those who are looking for either a quick introduction to where we were and where we are in these areas, or those who want to figure out how different evolutions in these areas match up in time. Scholars will probably find it too "pop" in tone and approach to be entirely helpful, but it is clearly well researched.
