The Three Mesquiteers (1936, B&W): Stony, Tucson, & Lullaby, lead a group of fellow World War I veterans to a new life in the wide open spaces of New Mexico. But cattle baron Brack Canfield intends to cheat the veterans out of the land promised by the U.S. Government and he's willing to use force to do it. When attempts to terrorize the homesteaders fail to drive them off, Canfield's henchman brutally execute a settler on the ranch he labored so hard to build. Outraged, The Three Mesquiteers saddle up to make sure that justice is visited upon the cowardly murderers. The Three Mesquiteers is notable for being the first of this immensely popular series, with over 50 feature films produced.

The Trigger Trio (1936, B&W): : A State Agricultural Service agent is savagely murdered while investigating an outbreak of hoof and mouth disease. A greedy rancher has ordered the killing in an attempt to sell his infected cattle before they are seized by the state authorities. Tuscon, Lullaby and Stony's younger brother Larry must race to uncover the killer and save the valley's livestock from lethal contamination.
