Made me WANT to go to the dentist!

This book is definitely not just for kids: I'm 24 years old, and on a recent trip to the dentist, I started reading this book in the waiting room. I was immediately captivated by the great pictures, the fun, hip tone of the book, and the incredible information contained within its pages. I didn't get to finish the book on that trip, so when I had to go back to the dentist the following week, i was actually EXCITED because I wanted to finish the book! I wish I had had this book when I was younger, so I could have wowed my friends and family with the fascinating knowledge contained therein. Not only do you learn about the basics, like what causes cavities, etc., but you also get the skinny on kissing, ventriloquism, chewing gum, saliva, the uvula (the little piece of flesh hanging in the back of your throat!) and much, much more. Give it to your kids, read it yourself, and have fun!

This book is hardly just for children

I am 18 and I read this book about a week after I got my wisdom teeth out. Not only did it make me laugh (which helped my mouth feel better) but it also informed me about many mouth related topics. Reading this book helped me feel better, and certainly taught me a lot. On the outside this book may look elementary, but the knowledge it contains is useful even at the high school level. I'd definately recommend this book to a friend.

This Book Bites is hilarious as well as informative!

I bought This Book Bites for my nephews and I loved it as much as they did! The author is a master at grabbing children's attention and keeping them hooked with this humorous encyclopedia of the mouth. If children had more books like this in the classroom, getting them to do homework would be a snap. I hope to see more of Mr. Gower's work.
