Heartland is a horse farm nestled in the hills of Virginia, but it's much more than that. Heartland is a place like no other - a place where the scars of the past can be healed, a place where... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Could you imagine getting frightened and abused horses to trust again? If you enjoy horses than Heartland Thicker Than Water is a book for you. It's a kind of novel that you never want to put down. This book is about a girl named, Amy, a 15 year old horse trainer who tries to get frightened, and abused horses to trust again. She is a very kind, concerned, yet confused person. She and her family live on a horse farm in the hills of Virginia. There are a lot of conflicts in this novel, but the most important one is that Amy's dad, Tim, whom she hasn't seen in 12 years, is coming to Heartland. She feels that he should just stay out of her life, because she is still angry at him when he abandoned her and her family. Her sister Lou feels totally different. She feels that Amy and she need to give him a chance. I found this novel wonderful, and amazing. I liked it so much because I feel that Lauren Brooke did an awesome job of describing the way the characters were thinking, it was almost as though I was in their heads. I also enjoyed it because it had so much suspense that I couldn't wait to turn the page. You could almost see Amy's mind and heart fighting between loving and hating her dad.

This is a brilliant book and it is one of my personal favourites. In it Amy and Lou's father comes to Heartland, it is really good as Lou and Amy's idea's of thier father completely change. Tim affects them both greatly and makes Lou rethink her idea of horses. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This would have to be my favorite book out of the Heartland series. Probablly one of the better horse stories I've read in a while. The book is about how Amy and Lou's long lost father is paid to have a vist at Heartland while he is on a buisness trip. Amy is all freaked out about having her father coming to town after he had her mom and sister when she was little. It's a whole story about how Amy come to terms with her father and tries to build a relationship of trust again. You have to read the book to find out how the story ends up.
Absolutly Awesome

This is one awesome book. I read it in two hours, I just couldn't put it down.Amy's father returns and eventually makes a strong bond. Lou is not quite as thrilled as she thought she would be, especially when Tim suggests going on a trail ride. Later Lou admits that she is afraid of riding because of Tim's accident 12 years before. I will let you find out the rest.

I really love this book. I couldn't put it down. I was reading this book for two hours straight. I really loved when Tim(Amy and Lou's dad)came back. I hope they talk about him in #9. I think Ty and Amy should hurry up and admit their feelings for each other. I think all the books in this series are great. Number one being my favorite and Thicker Than Water my second favorite. A must read for Heartland fans.
