Dots Miller is a long-forgotten name in Pittsburgh Pirates history, but he was an outstanding rookie who was part of the team's double play combination with the great Honus Wagner that helped lead the team to their first World Series championship in 1909. Miller had a fine career which is detailed in the book by one of the country's premier Pirate historians John Dreker, who also happens to be from his hometown in Kearny, NJ. Dreker does a fabulous job of detailing the life of an important piece of the franchise during the early part of the 20th century. It is a story that is well worth telling and reading.
