Beautiful Book

This is a must read for anyone planning a trip on the Thelon but it is also an excellent book about the wonder of wilderness and canoe tripping even if you are not headed for the Thelon. Don't miss it.

An excellent description of a special piece of Canada's northern wilderness. The story of the Thelon River is compelling. A remote and wild land on the edge of forest and tundra with a remarkable human history. Hunters, trappers, explorers, scientists all contribute to the stories skilfully told by seasoned northern observer David Pelly.
