Could a summer job Lead to a lifetime of happiness? To protect herself from her mother's matchmaking schemes back home, schoolteacher Grace Kauffman desperately needs a summer job. When she hears through the grapevine that Peter Lehman is searching for a nanny for his two young daughters, she thinks they're a perfect match. There's no danger of romance under his roof...because he's still married to the wife who left him for an Englischer. But as Grace spends time with Peter and his girls, she realizes that she might be at risk of losing her heart to them all... From Love Inspired: Uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness and hope.
Their Impossible Amish Match is a very touching story of forbidden love and second chances. Peter's wife left him, their daughters, and the Amish community. Grace is a school teacher in the Amish community who agrees to be a nanny to Peter's two girls during the summer break. Spending time together makes them feel like a family, especially with the growing attraction between Peter and Grace. Is there any possible way they can become a real family or will they have to deny their feelings forever?
The back-story of what happened with Peter's estranged wife is emotion-packed, especially since it involves two little girls. This part is handled with tact and care which keeps it from being overwhelming. The story is interesting and enjoyable. The ending is surprising but very satisfying. I definitely recommend reading this book. I received an advance copy to read and all opinions expressed are mine alone.
