Kids like weirdness too--and this new series is just?for them. Go deep in the heart of New Jersey in search of the legendary Jersey Devil, and follow the adventures of a boy named Mark who has an interest in all things strange and spooky. Mark was inspired to create the Weird Club after an eerie, unexplained ball of light appeared in one of the photos he took during a class trip. He doesn't know what it is--but he's determined to get to the bottom of this and other mysteries. The only thing is, he needs at least five members to make his club official at school.
My 9 year old was very excited about this book and could hardly put it down. He especially loved all the strange but true tidbits, and the occasional photo helped hold interest, I'm sure. The problem? This book is touted as the first in a series for the "Weird Club",but it's been almost a year and no follow-up. He was ready to read more ASAP -- and disappointed to have to wait. But now, what's the deal? Who publishes a book as part of a new series, and isn't set to go to press with the second one, at least, right on its heels?

I am a third grader and I thought the book was such a fun book to read. It was kind of scary and had lots of interesting stories in it. I am telling all my friends to read it - its a great book!
