Great for Pre-teens

This is more of a book for older elementary school children. Perfect to possibly spark an interest in this time period of our history, as it gives just enough information regarding what caused the war, short explanation of the US Navy, British Military, uniforms, weapons. Then goes into the major battles, what life was like in camp, then how the war was won.....again, just a few paragraphs to get the reader wanting to look up more information. The last few pages gives a time line of the war, words for the young reader to know, and age appropriate resources for the reader to look for more information. If you are an adult looking for a historical read, you will have this read in 15 minutes.
