It's a gorgeous streamlined appliance, displayed as a bona fide American icon by the Smithsonian Institution. But the KitchenAid mixer, created in 1919, is more than just a domestic design classic.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I was disappointed in this book. Almost every recipe calls for ingredients that the average person would not have in their pantry. Many of the ingredients would be difficult to find in rural areas or even in in a small or midsize city. Also, most of the recipes would be very expensive to make (even if you have the skills to do so).

This book is very well written, the recipes are clear, and the pictures of the finished product are beautifully photographed. While it isn't a large cook book there is a good variety of recipes in it. In short, what's not to like?
