Emma's going to Wisconsin to see her cousin Jack, and both kids are really excited. So, to prepare her for what she'll find there, Jack sends Emma some VERY unusual, Wisconsin-style gifts. From one robin (the state bird) that sings "On Wisconsin" (the state song) to twelve birch bark baskets, the presents arrive accompanied by spirited letters that help Emma learn everything about the Badger State.
I'm a native Wisconsinite and got this book to read to my son. We visit grandma and its fun for him to read and remember about our time in WI. Great story, pictures, fun and enjoyable
Adorable Christmas Read!

I picked this up at Barnes and Noble last week, as it was featured near the check out. I just love it! I think my 7 year old son will adore it. This would make an EXCELLENT Christmas gift for a youngster. It explains some fun activities and festivites you can explore in Wisconsin, and specifically what makes the state unique and interesting. Also, it lists famous people from Wisconsin and fun facts such as the state bird and state motto. What a darling book and great concept, knowledgeable yet entertaining. Five stars.
