Collete is really excited to be back at Sacred Heart. She finally gets to be upstairs with the older kids, since she is now in sixth grade. She is really happy to be back with Sarah and Marsha, and she is also really happy to have a cute teacher named Mr.Kurtlander this year. To make things better, Mr.Kurtlander is a very good friend of Collete's parents! Collete thinks she's in heaven when Sherri Anders, a popular eighth grade girl, starts paying attention to Collete. However, this means trouble with Sarah and Marsha. This is because Sherri only pays attention to Collete, so they feel left out . They both feel that Sherri only pays attention to Collete because her family knows Mr.Kurtlander, who Sherri and the other eighth grade girls have a major crush on. Collete finds herself not really knowing who her true friends are. Sixth grade isn't turning out as good as it seemed to be!
