Surprisingly UNLIKE Laurens Other Novels--A Definite Keeper

I have to say--having read everything by Laurens so far, and at times getting a bit bored with the repeat plot-lines--this was a breath of fresh air. I was expecting the same story, different verse, but this story was much more. The mystery was truly and FINALLY engaging! I was debating up until the last few pages as to WHO the villian(s) could be and when the mystery was solved, I was blown away! The hero's artistic side also shown through in the way he viewed the heroine. Most of all, I loved the fact that in this story neither party was pretending that they DID NOT want a relationship. So many of Laurens stories revolve around one or both lead characters fighting to NOT get involved, whereas this story was all about love and passion between two people who had real chemistry and were not afraid to show it. A definite keeper!!!
Fantastic!

This is the first novel I have read by Stephanie Laurens. I was totally impressed! I proceeded to buy a good majority of the prior novels on the Cynster family. The Cynster hot men is more like it! I am currently reading Devil's Bride and loving it as well. I recommend it highly. Great historical sexual tension with a good story line behind it.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIES

As a devoted fan of the Cynster and the Bastion Club series, I must commend Ms. Laurens on another excellent novel. The mix of family, romance and mystery present in these series make the happy ending of every book exactly what I want to read. I look forward to Books 13-15 about Dillon Caxton, Flick's cousin; Charlie Morewellan, Althea's brother; and Jonas Tallent, Phyllida's brother. And, of course, Book 4 (Bastion Club), Jack Warnefleet's story. Thank you, Stephanie!!
One of the Best of the Cynster Novels Ever!

I've read all the Cynster novels by this author. The Truth About Love was better than several previous ones. It was a joy to see Patience and Vane make an appearance and to discover that Gerrard has become an excellent artist. The story was exciting -- lots of action near the end. I love the subtlety Laurens uses, she says so much with the raise of an eyebrow - also how Jacqueline overcomes the gossip and moves forward. It's also nice to get a peek at future characters in forthcoming Cynster novels. This is treasure and one of the rare books that I am keeping to reread.
