Excellent synopsis of the politics of breast cancer.

Who and what are we supposed to believe about breast cancer? That is exactly what this book is about. Although a little outdated now (needs Hoy's investigative journalism surrounding the politics of the recent approval of tamoxifen for breast cancer prevention, October 1998), it nevertheless provides an important background and framework for putting the BCPT and the entire politics of breast cancer into perspective. It is a consumer beware kind of book written from a Canadian view (making it very unique), laden with valuable information on breast cancer. A must read for all North American women over the age of 40. It must be my favourite most cherished book (probably because I have been doing breast cancer research since 1985). Hoy pulls no punches. Can't wait for the update on the BCPT!
