A sensational sister's read!

Ms. Bliss's book, The Thoroughly Modern Married Girl, is the perfect gift for any woman you know getting hitched! I've presented it to several new brides and brides-to-be and they all thought it was sensational. All brides are different and touching on everyone's personality is difficult. Ms. Bliss has managed to keep in mind what all sensational girls have in common, married or not: a strong sense of self, a sense of humor and common sense. The message of this book is to remember who you are and not let it be lost in the process of getting married while expanding your heart and mind into a "table-for-two". A fun and flirtatious read!

Funny and Clever....

I think the reader from MN missed the entire point of the book -staying fabulous is to make YOURSELF happy thereby helping to build a solid foundation to build a relationship upon...not all about simply making your husband happy. I found the book to be light and humourous - it is not supposed to be a depressing discourse on what marriage is really like ...for some. Why is it we can't believe that happiness is an option thses days? If you want to find out more about bitter and depressing reltionships I would suggest Jerry Springer and Rikki Lake (sp?)and for addressing serious problems - the self-help section or a counselor! Lighten up!

This book is a witty, humorous view of what life is really like after the wedding! Sara Bliss gives new brides a lighthearted read with some sage advice thrown in for good measure. A "must-have" for any newlyweds' library.
